This video demonstrates QML based QuickFlickr i.e. Flickr client running on Symbian device (N8). What you see on the video is not the final product and it lacks many features, graphics and it still has several bugs.
Current set of features:
– Authentication with Flickr (doesn’t work on symbian device due the QtWebKit problem with developer packages)
– Latest uploads from contacts,
– Photostreams of your contacts and your own photostream
– Photo details (favorite, views, comments, add comments, description, etc)
– Contact list
– Navigation between different pages
In the fashion world, style is essential. Your mobile phone is a part of your ensemble. It needs to be chic elegant, smart and beautiful
There’s beautiful and then there’s smart; the Nokia C7 smartphone is both of these. In an age where every walk of life is using technology to help keep them connected to their friends & family, the Nokia C7 allows the style conscious user an accessory to match their social life and fashion sense.
In the following video Sally Glover (PA to Gresham Blake – a Savile Row trained tailor based in Brighton, UK) uses the latest mobile phone made by Nokia to enhance and support her fast paced lifestyle.
Here are some great video samples of that in action. One thing, regardless of 25 (standard) or 30 (hack) FPS, N8’s videos are looking spectacular.
Performance in ample lighting is amazing but equally so in low light well all others would falter.
Just check out the third video – I got surprised at one point where they turn the light ON in the room how much N8 could pick up. There are also a couple of continuous autofocus videos included in this post.
It’s in Hebrew which I don’t understand but the translation of the description is as follows:
Let’s see how you download applications from Ovi Store to your Nokia device.
Ovi Store is Nokia’s apps store offering you thousands of applications, content and games to your Nokia device.
Video explanation before you will explain to you how to download applications for your Nokia easily.
Interesting that they choose a Nokia N86.
As Nokia adverts go, this has to be one of my favourites. This was projected outside the Nokia Theatre (often accused of NOT doing enough to promote Nokia things of televised events that happen inside this theatre).
It’s a Nokia N8 TRON:Legacy advert. What I like is that there’s a screen but then the projection extends around like it’s somehow come alive and out of the screen (not sure if that was intended or just fortuitous). The advert itself is really quite something, making the N8 look awesome.
Now if only Nokia could realise things like this at the time of N95. Ads that aren’t obscure or arty-farty but point out the OBVIOUS. Ilari Numari, (Nokia Eseries VP) told me this is something they’ve been made aware of and are looking into it.
720p Video Samples: Nokia N8 vs Nokia C6-01 vs HTC Trophy 7, HTC HD 7, LG Optimus E900, Samsung Wave 8500, 8530, Galaxy S and SE X10
gsmarena07 have upload a bunch of short 720p video samples from the Nokia N8, C6-01, HTC Trophy 7, HTC HD 7, LG Optimus E900, Samsung Wave 8500, Samsung Wave 8530 and Sony Ericsson Experia X10
Make sure you click on 720p. The videos are initially in good lighting and then that main lighting is switched off.
The C6-01 does surprisingly well. The likes of the Optimus E900 and offerings from HTC were rather pathetic.
N8 where I’ve chosen to focus the crops on is a touch blurry, possibly the subject is too close?
Check out the marked differences when one of the lighting is turned off.
