Spider-Man: Total Mayhem HD available for Symbian^3 from Gameloft

December 22, 2010 4 comments

Spider-Man: Total Mayhem HD is available for download for Nokia N8/Symbian^3 users.

It’s not yet on Ovi Store but it is on GameLoft’s site from your device.

I got there via wapshop.gameloft.com and a specific T-Mobile link. It may be different with your particular network (you’ll have to chose or the site will automatically direct you).

I haven’t played it yet so I don’t know what it would look like on N8. I’m not sure if it will be like the iPhone version (like most of gamelofts offerings have been for Symbian^3) as the download is only 3MB (though it is titled HD like their other 3D games).   No wait, wait…., I just checked – Real football 2010 HD is 1.25MB and avatar is 0.70MB which I know is HUGE (Over 100MB download).

I want to wait till it appears on Ovi Store – I don’t know how gameloft purchasing/redownload works. But you can get it now if you want from Gameloft for £3.00

Video: Asphalt 5 on the Nokia N8

June 4, 2010 6 comments

Last week we saw EA “unveil” some stunning 3D games for the Nokia N8 with Sims 3, NFS Shift and Monopoly.

Today, Gameloft is showing off Asphalt 5 on the Nokia N8.

Unlike EA’s NFS, this seems to be controlled by touch and not accelerometer.

What I really like is the prospect of many high quality third party apps and games titles coming over to Nokia.

Spread the love guys!

It’s a win, win for developers having an even larger audience and Nokia users having greater choice of high quality apps and games.

These are the kind of high quality titles I would not mind handing over cash for (not those appalling versions from 1980).

What annoys me about this video is that the orange N8 is actually looking mighty fine.

Grrr, after I thought I’d resolved my choices to the black (Dark Gray) and Blue….

Stunning iPhone/iPod Touch Game:Terminator Salvation

May 3, 2009 2 comments

This is another example of what Nokia’s N-Gage platform is going to have to go up against. Not considered as a gaming phone due to lack of buttons, the iPhone now has a very formidable selection of great looking games that don’t skimp on gameplay. Here is Terminator Salvation by Gameloft for the iPhone/iPod Touch.

Pretty decent for a phone.
