Nokia N9 rumoured specs: 4.2″ AMOLED, 1600mAh, 190 Million Polygon/s power, 768MB RAM, 1GB ROM, 12MP

Based on alex68's comments N9 does not look like this anymore.

Some more MeeGo specification rumours are surfacing and this is somewhat hard to believe.

A conversation between @camb078 and @addiermedina reveals some exciting number crunching figures especially after an initial typo indicated 19M polygons/s, later corrected to an incredible 190 polygons/second. (The PS2 at 66M/S, PS3 at 275M/S, Wii ~ 100M/S, 360 at 300M/S, N8 at 35M/s). No details on the actual CPU/GPU.

Other supposed specs include

  • 4.2″ AMOLED display (no info on resolution.)
  • a new battery sporting apparently 1600mAh (B4-LD). Really? Could be a typo.  If so, BL-4D is 1200mAh?
  • 1GB ROM
  • 768MB RAM
  • 12 megapixel carl zeiss camera

Cheers Adnan for the heads up to mynokiablog.com/tips!

The interesting part of the N9 is the software not especially the hardware. Where will it differentiate from the competition why should we buy a meego device instead of a iphone 4 or a desire hd? It need to bring something extraordinary on the table, I really hope nokia can deliver that.

    Wistful Specs.

I can believe the 1GB ROM and 768MB RAM, but more likley 512MB RAM.. keeping more in line with Maemo Memory useage pattern.

CPU/GPU will be based on some variant of this.. http://pandaboard.org/

Hoping for 8MP camera with decent sized sensor (let’s be honest it’ll be dual LED Flash, not Xenon – they won’t want to murder the batttery)

It would be nice to think it would come with 1600MaH.. but should imagine batteries of that density will be VERY expensive to produce.. so 1300mah?

But really, they will have devices out to developers in May I should imagine – and see a release July/August (pure speculation)

they won’t release before then as iClone5 will be out end of July timeframe as well.. why release something that will be killed by Apples storming PR Machine – I think whoever said Nokiaworld release was probably dead on, especially with Nokiaworld/MeeGo PR1.3 both in October – Coincidence?

No way, harmatten-meego is pretty much baked compared to meego-core 1.2 (vanilla meego).
You’ll def. see an announcement by MWC, and availability (at least in some parts) sometime in March.

also, something interesting to note about the screen – the above pics were leaked before the annoncement of CBD

looking at the leaked photos now – you can see the battery sign on what looks like the Bezel – confirming this is a CBD device?

As mentioned. It’s a prototype. However the battery indicator is NOT on the bezel but in the display itself. It just a black border. Maybe a poorly calibrated monitor won’t show that.
