Nokia N8 showcased on thetrainline.com’s coming soon mobile app! (Android ignored)

Interesting that the whole "Nokia" brand feels sort of diluted - there are some great smartphones but there are also may cheapo disposable Nokias. On the upside, it's the only manufacturer brand here. I do like how Android is totally left out. haha. It's just there with "most other mobile phones"

When I was booking my tickets the other day, I noticed that in the mobile app section, instead of the always present iPhone, the Nokia N8 appeared to demo the trainline app.

Thetrainline.com is a leading independent retailer of train tickets in the UK. It’s a useful website to check train times as well as purchase tickets in advance. (Alternative services include nationalrail.co.uk). Annoyingly the mobile web version (which it always directs to) is quite frustrating to use so I’m looking forward to this mobile app. (Based on the screenshot, it looks very touch-friendly)

There is an app currently available for S60 5th Edition devices called “UK Rail” where you can check train times WITHOUT the need for the web version.

Devlopers always make apps for iphone first, it is the one of the main reasons why apple is still alive

It is wise for Skype to support Symbian 3. Otherwise, it is Skype’s loss.

My stock broker is from a Nordic country, but still only provides app for Iphone and Android. I am going to dump it if it doesn’t support Symbian 3, say by the year end.
