yeah, unfortunately according to my source, N8 is selling multiple times more than Desire in a Finnish store!

As for popularity, N8 is listed N0. 6. Where is Desire? N0. 52.

This list is for all kinds of electronic products.

This info is from the biggest online store selling all kinds of electronic products, ie. cameras, usb cards, computers, phones, gps devices and whatever…

Nokia 1100 was and is the highest all time selling phone….does it make it better than Nokia N8?

Sadly Symbian has miles to go if it has to be on par with Android. Symbian is going in the right direction but as of now, Nokia N8 sucks BIG BIG time…

Hello Troll. Android sucks and I don’t want it. Go ahead and enjoy being part of the Google Botnet.

there is one problem: the N8 is just slower than the HTC desire (here) or the SAMSUNG galaxy.

(and here, in israel, the N8 will be available only in the end of year… should i wait to the N9? …)

    • dsmobile
      October 20, 2010 at 1:29 pm

I would say you should wait and see if there is more info about N9 when N8 comes available there. If think about OS I would sure wait for Meego instead going with S^3. S^4 would be different story.

Looks like the desire defeated N8 in every section in term of speed.

Let me tell what is a troll based on a true story happening here just 2 days ago.

The troll claimed that he was a 2-month owner of a Desire that sucked at battery big time to prove that he came here for real interest in Nokia, not for a troll. Today he seemed to forgot his fake skin when his show time came again…

Troll is always troll no matter how he pretends to be genuine。

My last sentence to a troll. Go to hell or better your own place to troll. This is the place for Nokia fans to exchange info, not for a troll or liar.

      Mega-ROTFL
I knew this would drive you crazy haha.

Well, I did have a Desire but I don’t think I wrote that I sold it because of the battery. There were other reasons.
You are such a pathetic troll yourself, go ahead and apologize, I’m still waiting, or are you not man enough to see when you wrongly accused me regarding the N8 camera?

But what do you say to a whimp who thinks the popularity in a Finnish store has any importance whatsoever. This is Finland, where Nokia comes from, and this is a brand new device whereas the Desire is 6 months old, so big deal it’s more popular, but hey, you’d have had to think before typing, so that’s too much to ask of you, I know.

I won’t call oyu a liar but you are an idiot Alex.

haha, i knew how a troll would respond to my sale info in Finland. I on purpose did not expose the sale info of other countries ie. china russia yet. you guess what.

In my dictionary, an liar and troll >>>> an idiot and idiot is included by default. Why, find the clue yourself, liar and troll! I am not going to teach you everything!

        My last response

You could get my apology IF YOU DID CLARIFY IT CLEARLY IN THE LINK.

But now you can only daydream of an apology from me, UNLESS you take an oath you did not troll at all and prove flawlessly your recent contradictory shows.

          October 20, 2010 at 2:33 pm

Oh kiddo, you make me really laugh.
IF YOU DID CLARIFY IT CLEARLY IN THE LINK.
WTF? I posted a link to a post of mine, if you are too stupid to click on it I cannot help you.

You are so pathetic, I never met anyone online who is such a pityful excuse for an adult (if you really are adult).

You are the die-hardest Nokia fanboy who will not accept any criticism and if someone posts a link, instead of checking it out you call them a troll. You are such a loser.

            George,

I just spent a little time checking your link. Ok, I can now apologize for my mistake for not checking your post then.

Nokia fans keep ur fanship to urself. Desire rocks a million times more than ANY damn Nokia phone…. That list one says in a comment above (N8 at No.6 and Desire at No.52) is the biggest fake list. Tell me the source for it.

What i see in this and in other comparissons is that in the N8 you need to be more precise at the time of pressing an on-screen button, otherwise the phone doesnt responds.
For me this is a good thing to avoid accidental pressings, for instance, when you are holding the phone, and this sensivity can be adjusted anyways by a firmware update. this is my very personal opinion. What i think is that the N8 is not as slow as many think.

The guy at “phone envy” should have tested the maps navigation using the last OviMaps available, not the one preinstalled in the N8. Also, the method I use when navigating in OviMaps is faster – and similar – to the method in Google maps:
1.- You start Ovi Maps (v.3.6),
2.- Then go to search, and there it is, the list of the last searched places!, you select “McDonalds”
3.- it appears on screen, you tap the name of the place and select “Drive to”. Thats it!

    Cheers!

They used the right edition of Maps. 3.6 is a Beta and not for Retail use. The Desire doesn’t use anything other than it came with so the N8 shouldn’t either.

Yes, the N8 is better with 3.6 but it doesn’t have it so it is what it is in the vid.

Civilization 5! Btw, what site is that? Is it verkkokauppa.com?

If daydreaming is good medicine for you, just take it and it is not my business…

A few days ago, N8 was listed about No.12 and Desire was NO.38. Today N8 is NO.6 and Desire now is 57 from N0.52 earlier today.

          October 21, 2010 at 8:33 am

Today HTC is no. 63. Soon it will drop out of top 65 popularity list.

I don’t need you to believe. IF you troll too much, it is hard for you to believe, of course.

  11. alex68
    October 21, 2010 at 8:17 pm

As of today, N8 is NO.5 and HTC is out of the popularity list of top 63! Bye bye HTC!

Just notice one person bought 10 N8 in on-line store. I guess it is an enterprise user.

In china, what do those corruptive officers want to have when receiving a gift? N8!

    Russia story later …
