Nokia N8: How is it going ?

The Nokia N8 has been out for a couple of days now, and we have seen the reviews which to be honest seem what I expected. But at the end of the day its the costumer that is important. So my question is if you picked up a Nokia N8 what do you think of it? how is it going ? Do you regret your purchase ? What can Nokia improve on ? And one for myself which one would you buy between the Nokia N8 or the C7 and why ? 😀 let us know in the comments below.

    @Paul
If you want to put the album art manually in all the songs then you can use the Mp3tageditor software by Florian Hiedenrich available for windows.
Or you can do it the old symbian way by copying the album art to your phone and then selecting it via the music player(if the N8 music player supports it.I dont know because I dont have one).
    Hope this will help you.

i have been using this hp for 3 days now.
im quite disappointed over its performance.
it hangs and shut down whenever i browse the net.
it lags whenever i open 4 application at one time.
it takes ages to upload pic directly to facebook.
im not sure if this is still a pre-production unit or what.
but im gonna send mine to nokia centre to figure out what is wrong with my n8.
    Nokia, im gonna give u a 2nd chance…pls improve.

Hi, I’ve been using mine for about a week and switched to S^3 after having used WM6.0/6.5 and Android Froyo…..camera is certainly light years ahead……the issues I have found to be a deal breaker are:-
    1. Portrait Keyboard and input entry method, that takes u to a different screen….very difficult to enter captcha or info for some lengthly forms, or enrolling on a webpage.

    2. No possibility to use my laptop’s internet on N8 by having it connected to Ovi Suite (i might be unaware if it does exist)
    3. No pinch to zoom pre-installed in maps
    4. pinch to zoom has limited application

I hope these gets fixed to provide a good user experience and I believe N8 is one cool gadget.

You can’t share a PC’s web connection with a mobile device on any phone that I know of so that’s not a N8 specific issue.

You can send your phone’s connection to your laptop though

Does Opera Mobile come with its own keyboard like it does on the N900? Nokia should just pay the Opera guys to write an on-screen keyboard for them, because they apparently don’t have a clue how to do it. T9 without an option for qwerty in portrait is a crime against humanity, and the built-in landscape qwerty looks kind of shit too.

Opera Mobile has its own keyboard, maybe a better choice for portrait mode than T9 keyboard. I personally like the landscape qwerty without any issue. What is your problem with it?

Well, got my N8 at last, love this phone, one of the finest bits of kit ever.s3 is pretty cool,no issues there generally, web browser is poor but we all know that(dont put flash on the browser if the hardware cannot deal with flash!!)S3 and touchscreen calibration need tightening up a bit. nokia just need to fine tune and iron out niggles(of which there are a few)and this could be a classic. If ever a piece of hardware deserved to have quality stable software backing it up this is it!

Thanks to Nokia. I have been N8 device since last three weeks. This is just magnificant and great device ever produced. It is far far ahead from iphone 4 or android.
    Thanks to Nokia
