Videos: Very awesome promo videos for the Nokia N8

CJ has found this awesome demo video of the Nokia N8, starring that N8 guy we saw at a UK event a few months back and at Nokia world a couple of weeks ago.

Anyone know his name? Is he a demo guy or actual Nokia staff (as he’s seen so often with the Nokia N8, and now with this 4 minute showreel – apologies for not knowing it)

Although you know these features, and many are quite obvious for you readers, I think it’s essential viewing for most of the public  to shout about what we take for granted. You know Apple/Jobs would. Jeez, if they had USB on the Go, we’d never hear the last of how revolutionary that is.

oh, there’s another cool shorter version, without that dude. Now let’s have this on TV, in cinemas please. Perhaps slightly shorter 30 second one for those with less attention spans.

update – dunno what happened to the video. It may be something not yet ready for the public.

rip by CJ (smart stuff!) and S60 Betalabs (thanks David!)

He said N8 has the biggest/highest res screen Nokia ever made? He should get it right! MANY other phones have had nHD display….Some have had WVGA display too (N900)

Yes, come on, I want to see this on Gizmodo and Engadget and TheRegister and Techcrunch and all those other biased, Nokia-hater websites, if they can pull away from their Android/iPhone love for just a second 🙂

I can’t see the video, only the text:

    “Sorry

The creator of this video has not given you permission to embed it on this domain. This is a Vimeo Plus feature.”

    😦

    Hi guys,
My company made this film and someone working on our website put it up on Vimeo. It’s had about 2000 plays in 2 hours, so I just need to check with Nokia that they want it distributed in this way. Really happy to see that everyone is so into it !

Fanstastic work on the video. We need Nokia to hire the same team for all marketing purposes. Tell Nokia that the consumer has spoken, and that is all that matters….next video project please.

Here’s a video to tie you guys over i suppose

supposedly this is some world record attempt for projecting such a large picture/movie on a screen with something so tiny (the N8) in Rosengard (sweden?)

And a demo of NFS being played on the N8 while streamed through to a HDTV
took a couple minutes to finally start playing but once it did it looked great even on the big screen

No problem – Lets spread the word 😉

  15. September 29, 2010 at 10:04 pm

Hi all i’d love to start putting it on the other tech sites but in its proper form. Those black bars are killing it for me ! I guess I can’t really do anything about it but I’d really appreciate it if you could hold back distributing it…then I’d love to give you the best version possible.

    • September 29, 2010 at 10:11 pm

      Hi Plastic,
The black bars top and bottom of the video?

  16. September 29, 2010 at 11:44 pm

Yup…I’d just like to distribute it in its proper widescreen aspect.

    Hey Jay,

Sorry to say, I have to block the Video, As requested by video creator.

According to him this video accidentally popped up and he requested me to pull it off until it gets official permission.

I have also removed the post from my blog http://www.symbiantweet.com/ .
