Pics: MeeGo on the Google Nexus One, HTC Desire and Dell Streak

Just a quick glance of a post I thought I’d share. From the official MeeGo page, here are some photos of some Android devices (Google Nexus One, HTC Desire and Dell Streak) with a port of MeeGo.

Instructions can be found here from the MeeGo Wiki page..

Either the icons are silly low res or Pentile screens really do suck

If there is an active community similar to xda for meego it’ll be huge. Imagine being able to buy the htc hd2 and being able to install meego on it just like you can install android on it.

    Def good imo.

Android hardware makers should abandon Android in favour of Meego. Seriously. They get a better more open OS, and a MUCH bigger (eventually) and better app store in Ovi.

oh, how is it like to use a real linux OS instead of the java crap called Android.

Indeed, I never understood al those Android fans. Sure it does work very well, but saying it is a super-duper great world concouring OS? No, it isn’t for the simple fact that it is just JAVA and a VM instead of a full-on OS like MeeGo.

hmm just reading over at gizcrapo , they have an article about meego running on the a HTC Desire, the same as this one. But if your want a good laugh go read the comments on it , sure made me smile to see people who know as much about meego as my granny commenting other nonsense about it.
