Gallery: Silver and warm-grey Nokia C3 touch and type Live photos

A small gallery of the newly announced Nokia C3 touch and type. Just like the X3 touch and type, this slim touch/keypad hybrid candy bar is a surprising joy to use. The S40 touch and type interface really marries well. The screen is very responsive to finger presses. In the hand, the slim, sleek stainless steel is very comfortable to hold. Build quality is top notch.

The new C3 offers a high-quality build for your money, with a 100% stainless steel case and a 5-megapixel camera with flash on board. It will come in Silver, Warm grey and Khaki Gold colour variations. It measures 111 x 47.5 x 11mm, with the screen measuring 2.4-inches, diagonally. The device supports MicroSD memory cards for storage up to 32GB.

The C3 Touch and Type is expected to cost €145 before taxes or subsidies and will start shipping in the fourth quarter of this year.

I kinda like this whole Touch and Type concept. Not for me personally, but I can see a bright future for these type of devices. People who don’t want a full blown touchscreen and just want a simple phone with some of those new modern features. Great concept and could very well succeed.

    i think S40 cell-phones will replace definitivily S60 3rd edition platform

S60 v5 will die next year to give way to the S3 low end paltform aka C6-01

S3 for hi end smartphone too like N8 E7

    and finally..

meego devices like N9 for mobile computer

SO next year we will have only 3 paltform:

    dead platforms:
    S60 5th
    S60 3rd

max clarity for us! what do u think? 🙂

yea. I think S3 will be pushed to low devices, S4 will be available for the middle high end devices, probably X7 will be the first phone with S4, and N9 will be the first phone with meego.
      X7 will be lunched Q1 2011 , same as N9 with meego.

      What do you think

I think S3 is the stop gap measure it was always proposed to be. In the future it may flow down to the cheaper phones and eventually feature phones. S4 will be what S3 is now next year and be the OS to drive the likes of C-series (3 up to 7) and X and low-end E series.
S4 will drive the high end E X N series, probably the top C device. And Meego is reserved for first of the N9 possibly the next N8.

And I do believe that Meego will power new devices besides phones, eventhough Nokia denied it; a Nokia/Meego tablet will surface. It would be stupid for Nokia to not get in on that. Why invest so much in the Meego platform to only have it run 1!! phone (and of course the in car entertainment stuff that’s plannend)

If a Nokia/Meego tablet were to come with the current styling (Marko FTW :P) I would almost buy it if the price is right.
