Nokia C7 leaked again
The Nokia C7 has been leaked again in an what looks like a genuine feature in a Hong Kong IT magazine called “Hi-Tech Weekly” issue 615:
Looks like the Nokia C7 is very close to launch since they are already making ads for it. As you can see it runs Symbian 3 it has a 3.3 inch multitouch display.
Key features:
- Symbian 3 OS
- 3.3 inch multitouch display
- Resolution of 640 x 360
- 3.5mm head jack
- microUSB
- 8 Megapixel autofocus camera with HD video recording
- Wi-Fi and GPS will probably be included
According to Fonearena it already has been handled by people and they say the device is easy to use and quite fast which is nice to hear.
My opinion on this is if this is so close to release which it is considering that they are already making ads for, that means the N8 should be available in August now thats just my speculation.
My personal opinion on this phone is that there are a ton of features that would make most high end smartphones cringe and considering this is a mid range smartphone is should be solid device for the average consumer
What do you think are you looking forward to this phone, let us know in the comments
Thanks to Amanda for the heads up

feel like it will compete directly with Samsung Wave
I don’t like the design, depends what the price will be.
Nice Symbian S^3! I wonder what its internal are, the same as N8? Ram, CPU and GPU?
From a cost prespective, they would have to cut something out, the 12Mp Camera is gone, smaller screen and I guess less internal storage?
Lastly, it is still C7, so the highest of the C range.
Hey, this is NOT an ad. Instead, this leaked phone is being reported by a Hong Kong IT magazine called “Hi-Tech Weekly” issue 615: http://www.hitechweekly.com/cfm/Cov1.cfm?Issue=0615_20100729
Thanks for the information 🙂

awesome!!!!
Oh sweet! Thanks for the info. My relatives are gonna be going to india after 4 weeks and so I know what to have them give me as a gift 😉
Thats actually pretty good price, comes to about $480 CAD! Thats nice!
This device looks more attractive to me than the N8. If it’s not too reduced in it’s functionality and comes also with 16 GB Flash-RAM, an OLED-Display and hopefully a stronger battery it will be mine. If not I will go for N8. In any case, I will be happy with this or the other one. 4-6 weeks time to say good-bye to my beloved 5800 which is my favourite until this very day.
This phone is looking to be the direct replacement in Nokia’s line for the 5800. This’ll probably have significantly less internal memory if anything, but I think the default specs will be much the same as the N8 bar that.
It’s going to be a tad thick as well if the images are somewhat proportionate.
I’d estimate around 13-15.5mm thick.
Regardless it should be a pretty solid device.
If you look at the full picture, you will see that it is next to a Nokia X5-01 and this phone appears to be half its width.

GSM Arena is reporting it to be 11mm thick. No idea where they got that number though.
off topic: it was a few days ago some posts about Qt. I said I will try to setup a tutorials site. I begin my working on the site, I just have to think about a domain name :).
In the meantime look at this post on symbian blog: Orange UK made it’s first app in Qt and it seems they liked working with Qt. Maybe someone could write a post here about this: http://blog.symbian.org/2010/07/30/building-orange-wednesdays-in-qt/
I read that, I’m gonna be working on a Qt megapost some time this weekend 😉
Keep a look out for it.
Oh boy aren’t we all waiting for the day when there’s a Nokia leak and our heart jumps. These mediocre mid-level devices are coming out once a month.
Now when the MeeGo device “first leaked” it was a different story.
