Video: 16 minute hands on with Aava Mobile and MeeGo 1.1

stevechippy of carrypad has uploaded a 16 minute hands on demo with Aava Mobile and PreAlpha MeeGo 1.1:

  • Hardware tour
  • 6:30 Photo Browser – zoom not implemented
  • Multitasker – I really like it, the whole tilting panel as opposed to just sliding left to right.
  • Contacts with letter bar on the side, search name with portrait QWERTY keyboard
  • FireFox Mobile, Fennec demo

I think the visual multitasking could do with some borders around different applications, would better help distinguish one from the other when they contain similar content for example. That’s a minor issue though.

N8 performance is too low for Meego. Meego is optimized for Intel architecture, but ARM is also supported. Hope N8 get S^4 update.

symbian 3 is likely can be upgraded to symbian 4, nokia just need some pressure from its customers
