Videos: Half hour worth of Nokia N8 HDMI demoes

Nokia’s been doing TV out since the days of the Nokia N93. Nokia has FAILED to promote this fantastic feature that turns your mobile phone into a media centre. Music, video, gaming, web browser – hook it up to the TV and you’ve got entertainment on the go.

Now with the Nokia N8 they’ve upped the ante with HDMI out. Crisper videos, crisper photos, Dolby digital surround sound audio. Mix this up with a bluetooth keyboard and mouse and there’s your Mobile Computer (along with USB to Go file transfer)

Here are three video demoes by gagadgetvideo of gagadget.com

-Home screen demo

there’s a lot more talking than demoing in this one and it’s in Russian.

  • Photo Gallery demo
  • Video Demo
  • Dolby Digital Surround Sound Test
  • Music player
  • Portrait conversations demo
  • Facebook
  • Camera
  • Maps

it does play xvid, divx, h264, mp4 video in avi file extension straight out of the box, and up to 720p resolution! so most of your downloaded videos can be played right away.
