Video: Nokia N8 simultaneously connecting with Bluetooth Mouse and Keyboard!

MichaelxHell said he’d be posting up a really awesome video. He wasn’t wrong.

Bluetooth Mouse and Keyboard simultaneously connected to a Nokia N8.

Now think – HDMI connection to monitor/TV, USB OTG file transfer. There’s the future of mobile computing right there.

  • haha, look at that little mouse cursor go! Just think if you had the above set up with monitor and usb file transfer.
  • The scroll wheel works too!
  • I’m sure steve jobs would be outraged at seeing a cursor on a mobile OS. But it just simulates where a finger point would be. And it’s the choice – the versatility that makes it great.

Looks really nice. Could be really useful as a netbook alternative on the road.

      talking about mobile computing 😉

      • June 16, 2010 at 7:11 pm

Man if this was MeeGo my head would explode.

Think of the old classic Windows games that use bluetooth and mouse. …(Though I think maemo guys already had mouse working…could be wrong) but still…endless possibilities.

Future maybe that there’ll be just display docks in the future. That’s if we haven’t managed pico projectors 🙂

indeed. I think meego will have the same option and it is a very good idea. But they need to create some portable keyboard+mouse packed with the phone. that way people will have the chance to benefit for this option, otherwise most of them will not even know about this possibility. Plus it redefines the purpose of the smartphone into a mobile computer. and it will be very useful for people who travel and stay at hotels. they don’t have to take the laptop or internet tablet with them.

But once again they need to pack the phone with keyboard and mouse.

What do you think about this idea?

Just noticed. Is it reflection or is there actually a bluetooth light at the top of the screen near the front cam. Very clear flickering around 4:20m

    • June 16, 2010 at 7:18 pm

only a reflection, there is no such light. good idea though

    Haha not bad.

Now pay attention how Nokia markets features like these.

    • June 16, 2010 at 10:18 pm

Haha true. They won’t. Oh, Nokia. Why? So many ridiculous lost opportunities.

But come iPhone 6, Bluetooth keyboards and mice will be the hottest thing as iPhone 6 replaces mac mini.

That’s what I said in the previous comment. They need to deliver the phone with a small keyboard and mice . that way people will make the connection and understand the benefit of this feature. Someone should send them an email and let them know about this idea.

If they want to make huge sales in US
they need to make ads like android vs iphone a few months ago (comparing what iphone cant do) but in the n8 case it would show off what all other phone cant do like this feature for example or its incredible camera lens,or the OTG feature, stuff like dad
if nokia make ads like this and tell consumers that only the n8 can do this and not some crap like iphone or android, then they might have a chance lil bit higher to sell high
of course people always want more, they don’t wanna buy unlocked they are too lazy to buy a sim separately,so they should make a deal with tmobile or verizon or spring any carriers would be good, well actually at&t is kinda expensive but yeah…
gosh dang it,this is a gosh dang good phone, how can not people not be aware of it,yes it lags a bit,but nothing can be perfect in life can it?
