Video: Orange Nokia N8 Hands On!

Today’s youtube scavenging finds us a hands on of the Nokia N8, reuploaded by, who else but Camb078. 🙂

  • App scrolling looks smooth (not choppy like on my N97)
  • Homescreen swiping much faster,
  • Generally much faster over all (though I did notice a 0.5 second lag. Not acceptable, haha)
  • Pinch and Zoom looks smooth (though slightly awkward one handed, it is possible)
  • View of portrait T9 keyboard
  • There’s a gasp at the end of the video. I don’t know if that has anything to do with the N8 or something the other people said. I don’t understand (Spanish?). The video may still be processing so may be later when the screen is clearer we can tell what’s so shocking.

Credit apparently goes to Pablo Zárate ( http://twitter.com/REptar ).

There’s no post yet on their blog but I’m guessing it’ll be up at blog-n8.fr

EASILY as good as any iPhone or Android. Developers are fools if they don’t come rushing back to Nokia and Symbian.
