Nokia needs to make a better promotion video when this phone hits the market

I’m hoping and guessing that these “lame” “poor production” “rushed” presentation videos, as they’ve been described are an active decision by Nokia to undersell the N8 (after the N8 debacle).

When it is ready, you will see some N8 selling. There are big adverts coming soon that you will remember for some time. There’s a big campaign coming.

When reading comments from other sites they seem to be commenting on the rather slightly nervous presenter rather than a very snappy phone especially the cover flow bit

All i want is a Nokia phone that is snappy and has good looking transitions, which is why people get hypnotised by Android and iPhone

You got it wrong for as the transitions jwf1990. People get hypnotized because of the marketing effects by Apple. The Iphone doesn’t do anything special it just does it and I know from having one. Nokia needs to step up it’s marketing strategy and that’s without a doubt and order to compete with Apple here in the states but to be honest people really won’t buy Nokia Nseries devices because it’s not with any major carriers over here and Americans are afraid to buy unlock phones because of the insurance or warranty issues and getting the phone replace or fix and the option to have a secondary device until the phone gets fix. Hands down the N8 will no doubt be better then the new Iphone but it will not be seen that way here in the states merely by these sorry ass reporters who favor anything Apple produces mainly cause a majority of them uses Apple computers and love the easy synchronizations of device to computers for their photos and music and etc.

In order for Nokia to compete with the Iphone here in the states it has to release it’s devices to major carriers because most people here won’t buy the devices base on issues the phone may have and the no so comfort of having to send it off and waiting for the device to come back without no secondary device. People are always amaze at the Nokia Nseries devices because they offer the everything in one device and therefore gives you that wow effect but the risk of spending that type of money for something that’s a pain to get fix turns most consumers down. The Iphone does nothing special it just do what it’s command to do. However,Apple has stores everywhere and the ease of getting the device repaired or replace is a comfort most people love to have regardless if it’s really a boring device or not.

Like you see the guy in this video, i dont know who he is or he has ever worked on phone, but he seems so nervous. Seems he doesnt actually belive in the phone. Nokia needs to hire some nice model(male/female, doesnt matter) to advertise. Make it more real and make people believe in phone. Like everone else has said. Nokia lack enough advertisement atleast in USA. They need to work on it

Well i saw here in the US T-mobile seems to have a few nokia phones
if they get the n8 it will compete
    tmobile n8,sprint htc evo,att iphone4
but seriously,i know they are working on commercials and ads right now,so i hope they make the right choices and decisions on the content of it;the n8 has gr8 features,it would be a shame that not much people know it.
